Out of School Care

UBC CCS operates a before and after school care program for children who attend elementary school from kindergarten through to 12 years of age.  Enrollment capacity is 135 children divided into four groups.  The ratio of children to staff is 12-1 for the youngest group and 15-1 for the older children.  Out of school care staff have an Early Childhood Educator license and/or school age specific training.  The out of school care program is recreational and play based with daily activities scheduled based on the interest and ages of the group. The day will include both active and quiet times. Out door time is in a play yard designed specifically for this age group.  For enrollment purposes priority is given to children enrolled at U-Hill Elementary and Norma Rose Point school, both located on the UBC campus, and following all other UBC CCS enrollment policies. Transportation is not provided to any other community schools.

UBC CCS also runs a full day weekly Summer Program for children six to twelve years of age. This program is theme based and includes many field trips in the neighorhood and throughout Vancouver.
