FAQs

What is the deposit when I accept my offer?

A $200 deposit is required to officially accept a child care offer. Information about how to pay your deposit will be provided at the time of the offer.

What happens if I have unpaid fees?

Please note that failure to pay any outstanding fees charged to you will result in the following:

  • Students: Your UBC account will be placed on financial hold.
  • Staff, faculty, graduated students and external families: we will be required to send your account to a collections agency.

When do I receive my tax receipt?

Child care fees are tax deductible when you file your annual income taxes. Receipts for income tax purposes are available each year at the end of February—for the previous year. For example, your receipt for fees paid in 2023 will be available by the end of February 2024.
