Under 3 years old

We offer numerous group child care settings for children under 36 months old, with the majority located in the Acadia neighbourhood.

Quick facts

  • Age group: from birth to 36 months
  • Maximum group size: 12 children
  • Child-to-staff ratio: 4 children to 1 educator
  • Food: All meals and snacks provided by families

Emphasizing warm, responsive child care and education, these settings offer flexible daily schedules, experiences and materials to support the developmental changes that children typically experience in their first three years. We accommodate children’s fluctuating sleep and food needs, and we provide environments that support optimal language, cognitive, motor and social-emotional development.

Each day includes choice-filled play—indoors and outdoors—and small group experiences, punctuated by routines such as snack time, nap time and diaper time, along with language and music activities.
